Cookie Rebellion

[Intro] Yeah—turn the oven on! [Verse 1] Flour on my knuckles, sugar on the floor Cracked two eggs and kicked open the drawer Butter in the saucepan, heat climbing high I got a tray full of trouble and a sweet tooth alibi [Pre-Chorus] Don’t tell me to wait, don’t tell me behave I’m scraping every last bit from the bowl I save [Chorus] I cook cookies, cookies, cookies tonight Golden on the edges, center soft and right I cook cookies, cookies, cookies with pride Pass me that chocolate—step aside! [Verse 2] Timer starts shouting from the kitchen wall Neighbors smell the batch through the hallway squall Salt on the counter, cinnamon in the air One more spoon of dough—yeah, I’m going there [Pre-Chorus] Don’t tell me to wait, don’t tell me behave I’m scraping every last bit from the bowl I save [Chorus] I cook cookies, cookies, cookies tonight Golden on the edges, center soft and right I cook cookies, cookies, cookies with pride Pass me that chocolate—step aside! [Bridge] Burn one? No—learn one, turn the tray around Cool them on the rack, let the crackle sound Room goes quiet when the first bite lands Sticky-sweet victory on both my hands [Final Chorus] I cook cookies, cookies, cookies tonight Golden on the edges, center soft and right I cook cookies, cookies, cookies with pride Pass me that chocolate—step aside! [Outro] One for you, two for me Cookie rebellion—sweet and free!
